The Temple Lights

Some of my friends and I at the temple. There was actually about 25 of us that went to see the lights. Then we went for some pizza at this crazy place called Organ Stop Pizza. There was a guy playing the organ while we had our pizza. The organ had drums, bells, and other instruments hooked up to it hanging from the ceiling. It was pretty crazy. Anyone could request a song and the organ guy would play it. Rebecca on the far right and Megan on the far left are going to move into my house in January. Yeah! New roomates!

The Desert Moon Owls

I am almost done with the school mascot. I am painting it on the wall in the gym.

It has been such a pain to pant because of the block wall. I have to fill in all of the holes with paint. Frusterating!

I get to use this sweet fork lift.

Hey, its coach Oustad. Ha ha! Soccer season! Got to love it! Here are the 7th and 8th grade boys that I coach.

Our soccer shirts can be turned white or blue. We switch them acording to what color the other team is wearing.

Halloween Pictures!

These pictures where taken at a stake singles Halloween party. The bottom picture has Kara, Kyle, Rebecca and I. The funny thing that I found out was that Corene, Mariah and I all wore our Norweigan costumes for Halloween. It was not planned. We did not know that we where all going to wear them.

The Pink Panther Bike

I went to a place called the First Friday. Every first Friday of the month they have an art walk. Artists set up booths and sell their work. They had one booth where you could tie die. My friend Amy and I did our own shirts. Sweet huh! I thought it would be perfect to take a picture in front of my beetle!

My bike with the primer on. Lots of work!
Its time for the pink. It took several layers of course!

Ooooo! Nice! I am proud to introduce the Pink Panther bike. It has a new paint job and handle bar grips. The seat is also new. The seat post does not fit properly. I ordered another seat. I guess I will have to sell the seat and seat post that I just got. The next seat should be coming in about a week!

I found a black pin-stripe at the auto shop. I put it right around the edge of the pink. It really cleaned the edge up and you can't even see it. Sweet!

Taking It Apart

Look at the bike not the sweet pants! Hint hint!

This dissembling began in the kitchen. It was of course too hot in the garage. We took everything off and appart to begin stripping the paint off. Little did Natalie and I know that it was going to be a pain. It was easy taking the bike apart. The hard part was stripping off the paint. This whole process has taken two days. We have also run out of paint stripper. We are almost there. Just a few little spots left. Sweet though!

Our Sweet Bike Club

Yes it has ape hangers and a fat back tire. The front fork also sticks out far. The seat that is not there yet will be low and a bannana seat.

What a classic. White wall tires and wide handlebars.

My roomates and I are working on getting some old vintage bikes to fix up. The red one is mine. It is a Schwinn Stingray lowrider. It only cost $40 and as you can tell needs some work. That is the fun part! I am excited about making it mine and accessorizing. The turquoise bike is a Raleigh cruiser bike that we got for $30 dollars. It will either be Natalie's or Pat's. We are still looking for one more bike at another awsome price. We found them on Craigslist. They are so sweet huh! We must find bells, mirrors, baskets ect.We still need to come up with a cool name for our bike club.

Our Fun Sedona Trip

Kara and I! Sitting by the campfire. It was so nice outside.
Kara and Kelli. Riding back home . These are my girls. They are the best ever!
Keith, Burkley, and Dan!

I went with 11 boys and 5 girls to spend the night in Sedona. We stayed the night in a house there. We had a bonfire in the backyard and a bbq. The hamburgers were excellent. It was a blast. The next morning we woke up and had some waffles. Everyone except for me went hiking. I could not because of my knee. I sat in the shade in the backyard and read a book. It was actually relaxing because it was quiet and pretty nice outside. The weather was in the 70-80. Nice considering it was in 100 in Surprise AZ. We also played games. Fun stuff!

Yummy!

What is your favorite night time snack? Mine is POP CORN!

School Started!

Nice looking new school! It is called Desert Moon Elementary. We are the owls!

School has been okay so far. My first class starts about 12:30 each day. School gets out at 3:45. I have lunch duty from 11-11:30. The other part of the day I have been trying to keep myself busy. It has given me lots of time to get organized and to also rest my knee while working at my desk. I have been crutching along still at school. Lots of students ask me if I broke my leg. It is a little anoying. I am so ready to be done with my crutches and knee brace.

Trying To Walk

I can kind of walk holding onto a shopping cart. Yes!

Swimming!

Finally real swimming! Pat, Natalie, and I went over to my friend Ashley's house for a swim. My therapist said I could swim if I kept my knee straight. It was so wonderful. I have missed the water so much! Thanxs Ashley!

School started on the 11th. I did not go back to school on the first week. I am going on Monday. I will post some pictures of school later. Wish me luck!

Our First Swim

I originally bought this kiddy pool to take baths in after my surgery. I did not use it for that since it was so hard to get into. I thought I would finally get it out and sit in it. It is hard to get into. I have to use my crutches to get in and out. Poncho hated it. He does not like the water very much. He was shaking a lot. The water felt great!

The Jenga Champions!

Wow! That is amazing!

Natalie my roomate and I got 33 2/3 stories high in the game of Jenga. I don't think anyone can do better than that. It was amazing! Steady hands for sure. I challenge anyone to beat our record! If you can beat it then you will take the name of Jenga champion away from us. She knocked it down ha ha!

Cabo San Lucas Fun

I love this picture of my brother Justin and I in Cabo. Look at how sweet the water is. It was so warm and beautiful. Justin is now in boot camp for the air force.

Yeah buddy! Whoooo! My week of summer fun. The rest of the time was spent on the couch.

Still healing from the knee surgery! Its the left one!

I have had two physical therapy appointments so far. I am able to stand now without holding on. My phsical therapist has been pressing my knee painfully hard. I also have been doing some excercises at home as well. I finally got my ace bandage and knee tape off. Still in the big knee brace though. This week I have also been going to some teacher meetings. My classroom is finished and ready. I just need to get some more art supplies. I don't have any markers, crayons, color pencils or paper yet. School starts on Monday but I will not be back the first week. I am going to take it easy.

Brown Hair!

I just died my hair again. This time I went for a brown color. It matches my eyebrows.
Mom said she wanted to see pictures of my hair. Here you go Mom!

Just Starting My Blog

I am new to the blog world. I hope this is fun. I have enjoyed looking at Corene and Mariah's (my sister's)blogs. So I thought I would give this a try.

So lets see.... what have I been up to?

I finally had my knee surgery on June 20th and will be in my straight leg knee brace for six weeks. I had two meniscus tears, dislocated my knee 4 times and some frayed cartilage. When my leg brace gets off I will have physical therapy for 10-12 weeks 3 times a week. It will cost $40 dollars each time I go! Expensive! We all know where my tax return is going. It is so hard to not bend my leg or just get up and walk around. I have had to ask a lot of people for help. It is kind of a pain.

I just had two roomates move into my house. They will be here for about a month. One of them was a teacher friend that I taught with at the high school. It is nice to get some roomates even for the short period of time that they will be staying. They have already been so helpful with my gimp leg.

I was able to go to my brand new school today and see my classroom. I am excited! It looks just like my school that I was at last year. As of right now we only have 350 students signed up for the school year. That is exciting since I had almost 800 students last year. Hopefully, I will have more prep time and actually like the school. I can't believe that the summer is almost over already.
